Where is the kindergarten?
We are based on private farm land in the village of White Castle Nr Llantilio Crossenny.
The Kindergarten is approximately 15 minutes drive from Abergavenny (8 miles) and 20 minutes drive from Raglan (9 miles) and Monmouth (10 miles)
What age can my child join the kindergarten?
Children may join the kindergarten anytime after their 3rd birthday up until the age they start school.
What do you do when it rains?
Play! We want to encourage children to embrace all types of weather. We believe that with the right clothing and attitude we can have just as much fun - whatever the weather!
For those not so keen on playing out in the rain, our forest lodge provides shelter.
What do you do when the weather is really bad?
We are not a survival school and take the welfare of your child very seriously. There may be occasions when the weather is deemed too extreme (high winds / thunder storms) to be on site.
We have arrangements in place to use an alternative local indoor venue.
Where will my child go to the toilet?
We have purpose built compost toilets and sinks with warm running water for hand washing.
Does my child have to be toilet trained?
No, we work with parents to support each child according to their stage of development. We have nappy changing facilities on site. Parents are required to provide their preferred choice of nappy.
Tax free childcare
KIN Nature Kindergarten is registered with Tax Free Childcare, a new on-line government service to help working parents with the cost of their childcare. For every £8 a parent pays into their childcare account, HMRC will pay an extra £2, up to a maximum of £2,000 every year for each child. Parents are then able to pay KIN Nature Kindergarten for childcare directly from their childcare accounts.
Please visit www.childcare-support.tax.service.gov.uk for further details.
